Optical Design & Analysis Minimize

Contrast can provide you with cutting edge optical design. We use all aspects of ZEMAX including sequential and non-sequential modes. Applications for our designs include, but are by no means limited to, military imaging, multi-focal-plane imaging systems, solar collector design, freeform imaging solutions, human eye modeling, medical imaging, and adaptive optical system design. We can also write custom macros and DDEs for your applications.

See some examples of our optical design work here.

Opto-Mechanical Engineering Minimize

Our Mechanical Design team takes our optical designs and brings them a crucial step closer to final production. Opto-Mechanical design can be tricky at times and experience is key to success. Our experience with opto-mechanical designs includes applications such as custom lens housings, zoom lens housings, filter wheels, mechanical shutters, stabilized platforms for optical systems and much more. Our team uses SolidWorks and Cosmos for all our opto-mechanical and FEA design.

Featured Product: Fovegon Dual FOV Minimize

Contrast Optical's Fovegon lens allows for simultaneous narrow and wide field-of-view imaging. This unique optical design is particularly suited to military applications because it removes the need for handoffs between different sensor suites during tracking. The Fovegon lens system can be used in the visible, mid-wave, and far-infrared.

Featured Example Minimize

Wavefront Correction
Optical systems often have strict requirements on wavefront errors (WFE). Curved mirrors are used in a variety of different types of optical systems, from pupil relays in Adaptive Optical (AO) systems to complex telescopes to laser resonators.
