Contrast Optical Design & Engineering, Inc. is a small, woman-owned company based in New Mexico. The company was founded by three people on a mission to provide cutting edge optical solutions. We are dedicated to the art of optical design and analysis along with clever opto-mechanical engineering and electrical/control systems integration.

Our background covers a broad range from military to medical imaging and illumination systems, always with an eye toward manufacturability. Additionally, we take all the systems that interact with our designs into consideration. Our optical designs must be easily manufacturable and mesh with mechanical, electrical and various control systems in order to provide a total solution.

Some of our clients have very specific design or analysis projects, with well-defined starting and stopping points. Some of our clients keep us on retainer, calling us only when immediate needs come up. Some of our clients have a continuous, but only part-time, need for expert opinions and advice.
