April 2008
Mike Tocci files Contrast's second patent titled "Method and Apparatus for Producing Multiple High-Resolution Images using a Single Imaging Lens System". To learn more about Contrast's HDRI projects check out our new High Dynamic Range Imaging Systems page.

Contrast's new 1200 square foot facility, CODElab, is currently being furnished with office furniture, optical benches, alignment scopes, electronic benches and much more. The workshop will be used to design, develop and build the prototype of our HDRI Camera system for cinematography and military tactical applications. Stay tuned for updates and information on the progress of the prototype of Contrast's first product.

January - March 2008
2008 has been a record year for Contrast so far. We have doubled our clients and continue to provide cutting-edge optical and opto-mechanical design. Some of our new clients are located in such areas as Scotland and Australia.

March 2008 saw the filing of Contrast's first patent. Mike Tocci filed a patent application titled, "Multiple Image Camera and Lens System Suitable for High-Resolution Digital Imaging and Cinematography". Stay tuned for details on our first patent filing and product prototype.

We also added the full COSMOSWorks 2008 to our Solidworks Mechanical Design capabilites.

Contrast will be increasing the size of its current facilities at the end of March. We have invested a significant amount of funds into building up our metrology and alignment capabilites and the new facilitiy will provide us with much needed space to expand. More details on the new facility next month.

In March Contrast joined the Optical Society of America (OSA).
