In March of this year, Contrast Optical rented a 1200 sq ft facility in the East Mountains of Albuquerque. CODElab is a design studio and laboratory space intended for the design, alignment, and integration of optical systems.

The new workshop will allow the team to design, devise, plan and integrate all types of systems, including our new High-Dynamic Range Imaging Camera System. Part of the facility is dedicated to a gathering space with separate office and conference areas. CODElab also has a laboratory area with optical benches for alignment, and electronic stations for soldering and board/chassis development. CODElab even has a small area in the back of the facility for metal-cutting and welding.

The space consists of three main areas, shown below. First is our conference area with plenty of whiteboard space and seating for six. Second is our office area with three separate workstations. Finally, there is our optics and electronics laboratory with a large floating optical table.

We feel that this space will open up possiblities for Contrast and allow us to provide even more extensive services to our growing list of clients.
